Roberta is right about L Anceps

I ordered one from Ecuagenera around Christmas and it got "lost" in the mail for almost three weeks during freezing temps. 6 of 7 leaves fell off. I had to cut off some old pseudobulbs.

Today the main plant has 8 new healthy growths, one from every single shriveled pseudobulb. I potted up both of the back bulb "divisions" as an experiment and to my surprise both have put out new growth.

Its a shame the seller doesn't help you. They should be the one to make the carrier claim. They should reimburse you. Can you share the vendor's name so I can avoid them in the future?

Rhonda,

We all hope that it will make it. In case it does not, I have this plant*. It is spiking now, but I plan to divide it when it is done blooming, probably in April or May.

* = Plant is large enough, that there will be two divisions available for sale.

If it helps at all I think this plant looks in perfectly good shape to make a full recovery.
I have a Dendrobium Harveyanum with only 1 cane, it grew a new one, then died, it grew a second one. I let that one dry up and I thought that was it, no space to grow any more... so it is growing a third in the middle of the cane now lol.
Yours will certainly make it as long as you know how to grow Catts. The tricky part is keeping them well watered - they drink lots but they hate having too wet roots.
Good luck with it.
