Phal with crown rot?

I think it gotten worse.. should i remove the yellow leaves and the darken roots? I feel like the rot is really bad.

Maybe a dunk of the whole plant for a short time in an orchid-safe concentration of copper solution, or spray the crown and leaves with something like monterey garden phos. Followed by putting the orchid into a humidity tub with a nice warm temperature inside (intensive care unit).

I have physan 20 at home will dunk the whole thing in work? And should i remove all the yellow leaves and black roots? I feel like the rot is getting there already...

I do have physan 20 disinfectant ------ but haven't ever used it. But I think that if you haven't got either copper solution or phosacid type solution ------ then a quick dunk in your disinfectant could help.

I most likely wouldn't put the roots into the physan 20 disinfectant though.

But for copper solution and phosacid solution ------- even the roots can be dunked into the solution.

I don't think you have to remove roots and leaves if a treatment of copper solution or phosacid solution is used.

I did try to remove the dead part and dunk the whole plant in physan20. Does not seem to do anything since the leftover leaves are still starting to get yellow from the base...what should i do to save it?

If it was mine, I would cut my loses and throw it. It will take a long time to recover, and I personally think it will soon be completely dead.
I would start off with a new healthy one and try again.

Remaining leaves getting yellow from the base is not a good sign.

If possible, order some copper (in liquid) treatment for plants ..... and also order some phosphorous acid type of treatment (eg. monterey garden phos). These could probably have given a better chance if applied earlier on when the situation was first detected. But after applying - maintaining warm temperature and adequate humidity would be the next step for the road to recovery.

Whatever happens out of this ------ will be beneficial. We all learn from what happened ...... or what possibly happened.

So we use this knowledge to cut down on the chance of it happening again. Nice temperatures, gentle air-flow, media that does not drown roots, and adequate lighting levels and lighting duration, and occasional fertiliser and mag-cal application, and adequate water for the orchid that prevents dehydration, and - if possible - keep the crown region free of water (where possible).

You'll be fine for the future! One orchid learning experience can save lots of orchids.

The base of some of the air roots on the left still looks good. I think at this point trying the chemical treatments recommended be Southpark may increase the odds. Also making sure it is warm will be important. Some just aren’t “savable” once rot sets in, but it never hurts to try. If there is some stem tissue that survives, it can throw a new side grown even if the leaves are lost.
