My Dendrobrium's leaves are turning yellow
Question My Dendrobrium's leaves are turning yellow

I have a Den Blue Twinkle x Hawaiian Mini Stripe that I got two weeks ago. Its leaves are now turning yellow with brown spots that have a green halo around them. This is my first Dentrobium orchid and I do not know what to do.
It was root bound so I repotted it in new orchid mixture but that did not help. What shall I do??

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

This is a warm growing plant. What are your temperatures day/night and humidity? How have you been watering?

Yellowing leaves like you describe on this kind of Den are usually caused by cool temperatures or not enough water. Not enough water can result from not watering enough, or bad roots.

It's important to repot Dendrobiums only when they're making new roots. Old roots get damaged during repotting. If the plant isn't going to make new roots for a while, it can struggle to take up enough water with the damaged roots.

Totally agree with ES.

Also - try to find orchid growing guides, and read up on their requirements ------ which will allow you to have an understanding or feel about what the orchid needs to grow well.

I have some links here ----- just to start off with, that could be useful to you later.
