Roberts delight “black”

I’ve read that they are ok in temperatures above 60 at night at under 90 during the day. Now it might have to go through a dormant period in the winter here just because the light is low. Though I could always supplement it with a light. Spring, summer and most of fall should be sunny enough for them at this southeastwrn window

Plants don't go dormant just because it's not getting what it needs, they fail to thrive, weaken and possibly die (I forgot to move a precious Phal to a warmer location one fall).

Temps need to be 70°F+ and it isn't enough that it is in a bright window (above that shade shown in the first post), it needs several hours of exposure in that bright light. Having said that, you can still grow this. You can put a "daylight" household light above it (maybe 8-12 inches below a 60watt/equivalent, more for brighter lights). The light will keep it warm, also. If you can, take it outside in late spring/summer.

I don't grow these Vandas for precisely these reasons, heat and light. I'm an indoor grower so size also matter.

I have a 200 w light I can use......it radiates a lot of warmth. Do you think I could put that a foot and a half above that plant?

Oh! Found a 60w one. I’ll set it up today

Ok guys . Husband says I’m being silly. He will buy me a grow light to hang over it specifically. He wants to know what the ideal wattage or type of grow light for this orchid is?

I read somewhere that 13 watt LEDs are good.

If you can find an old 200 Watt equivalent, 6500K color temperature spiral compact fluorescent bulb, it will fit into an $8 shop light reflector from the hardware store. But they might not make those any longer. Don't use other color temperatures of CFLs.

Color temperature in LEDs does not correspond to color temperature in fluorescents, so don't use color temperature to select LEDs.

Not all LEDs are good for plants. The individual LEDs making up the white need to have wavelengths the plants can use. I already responded to your specific question in another thread.

I'm looking at my Philips household LED that I use:
800 Lumens
10.5W
3000K
Don't have more details since the packaging got tossed a long time ago.

I don't have high light plants, got my Schoenorchis fragrans to bloom a couple of inches below the light.
