First Spike Ever!
Talking First Spike Ever!

Hi everyone!
I first want to say hello again, I took a hiatus from this forum (and all social media) to focus on helping my parents through some health issues. I am happy to say I did not take a hiatus from my orchids and they have been thriving!
One of my rescue orchids now has a spike! I honestly did a happy dance when I noticed it I have to thank everyone in these forums for all the advice and help, just reading through others’ posts helped me learn a lot. I never ever imagined I would be able to keep any orchids alive, and never imagined one of the rescue orchids would spike! I hope it ends up blooming as I have no idea what the blooms look like.

Congrats.

Saving any plant is a noble and rewarding experience. When you can rehabilitate it to bloom and flourish it is such a great feeling. An orchid, that much better.

Well played. I hope that your parents are well

Congratulations! I've been growing a short enough period of time that I can still remember the thrill.
