Rough reddish spots in cattleyas. Female
Default Rough reddish spots in cattleyas.

Hello everyone:
My cattleyas grow outside, hanging under the trees. I am worried because some plants are presenting these spots in new growths. They receive a lot of light and some sun in the morning; In the afternoon I have to cover some places. Will this disease or enema? The temperature for the day is between 90 and 97 degrees F but there is always a breeze. I would like to hear your opinion. Greetings.

It could be natural pigmentation, mild sunburn or edemas, though the latter is more common in cooler/wetter weather. Without a picture, it's hard to tell. Can you upload a picture here or on an image hosting site and link it back here?
