This is a bud, right??

I converted my two Phalaenopsis to semi-hydroponics about 6 weeks ago and have seen fantastic growth from both. My Phal. bellina alba is unfurling what I think is a bud, but I've never seen a bud form competely from inception so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. This is a bud, correct?
