Do we cut withering flowers? Female
Default Do we cut withering flowers?

Hello people!

So, my white denphal is in that moment when some flowers still look good and strong but others are withering. Should I cut the ones that are dying? Is it true that they accelerate the withering of the others?
Also, is it the same when a bud blast occurs?

Thank you!

You may safely remove the fading flowers or let them drop naturally. It has no impact on the fading of the others.

"Bud Blast" usually occurs if there is a sudden change in the environment such as a drastic decrease in humidity or temperature when being transported, for example, a blast of hot, dry air, or when there is a mite or insect attack, and the buds are aborted rather than developing.

Ethylene exposure from a poorly-tuned gas burner or ripening fruit can also cause premature flower loss or bud blast.
