Is it time to repot the saved orchid?

So almost three months ago I made this post:

Summary: bought a Paph. delenatii, the plant never grew and the leaves started to die off. Unpotted it and all the roots were rotten. Removed the dead roots, repotted it in pure sphagnum moss and covered it with a transparent plastic bowl to preserve humidity.

Now, three months later, the plant is growing a new leaf from the middle (photo attached here).

My question is, is it time to repot it into the normal bark mix for paph or should I wait for some more time? I can't really see how developed the roots are without unpotting it, but I'm afraid that, since the sphagnum stays wet for long periods of time, the new roots might start rotting and that would obviously be bad?

I’ve had good luck with these in sphagnum long term. I have a couple of rootless fans that separated during repot of the parent plants. I have the parents in bark, but have the fans set up pretty much just like yours. My fans are just starting to push new leaves too.

The moss is fresh so I’m planning to leave mine be for a year and then re-assess next spring. I have clear plastic bags with holes over mine to reduce water loss. I keep the moss damp but not wet and add more water when it approaches dryness. If I see sure signs that they’ve developed roots I’ll remove the bags, but I’ve found new leaves do not always mean new roots.

I wouldn’t be in a hurry to switch things up at this point. I would let it re-establish a robust root system and then repot. If your moss is wet, you might want to let it dry a bit and then maintain it at a damp rather than wet stage. I agree perpetually wet moss could lead to rot.
