Default Vanda blooms pale

Hello all, I’m risking of sound like a fool but is it normal for newly opened flowera be pale and little bit smaller compared to earlier opened ones? Thank You!

They take a few days to fully open and the colour should improve as well.

Oh, so this paler colour is normal? I thought there was not enought sunlight or fertilizer

The blooms normally darken with age, although the blooms can sometimes be lighter in the winter than in summer, since yours is new it may just have it's winter coloration in the new blooms. Here's one of mine in winter and summer, summer blooms are much more intense.

Oh, wow! I didn't realize the color variation could be so different. That is gorgeous! Is that true of all orchids or just vandas?

The development of pigmentation can definitely be affected by cultural conditions. If your conditions and that of the seller are different, that could play a role, too.
