I think a few of us are in the same position as you, Irisha, as far as indoor temps, where we have a central heating system with an automatic thermostat, and if we open windows, then the heat just kicks on. Yes, we can turn the thermostat down, but then the whole house gets colder. That's fine if one doesn't mind (but I can't stand being cold at night). If one has a room or part of our house where the door can be closed and heat ducts can be closed off, that would be fine, but if not, opening a window is just going to produce higher heating bills.

Experiment with light levels, more or less than what they're used to. Experiment with watering more or less. Just try different things. I've got a couple of non-blooming Phals right now that I'm doing that with. Let us know if you find the trick.

Thank you Aliceinwl and Cheri. I’ll try different things with these. They are so tricky, got to play with them a bit. Only two are in bud now out of five that I got. Maybe I will get lucky some time 😝 and they will reward me with pretty blooms for all my hard work

If it doesn’t, I’ll probably put it outside for a couple of weeks next fall to experience colder temperatures. If yours don’t bloom for you this year, maybe you could try cracking the window for a few weeks next fall after temperatures drop but before they get really frigid?
Hope your Phal blooms for you finally ❤️
Don’t want to bring my plants outside. Afraid will catch some bugs and weather is tricky here in NYC. Temps go up and down. Raining one day and windy the next. Hard to predict

I think my DH is actually jealous of how I baby talk my orchids eheheh. He pretends it's amazingly disgusting but I know he secretly wishes he was getting all the baby talk attention. I'm like -"you knew about me and my orchids before you married me...."
