Group Order - Schoenorchis fragrans?
Hi,
I have talked to a person in Thailand, that is selling Schoenorchis fragrans. I am wondering if anyone is interested in buying one. They are $18 each, but if 5 are bought they are $12 each. She will give us a better deal, the more we buy.
We could make this a group order. I have never done any paperwork, so I would be happy to put someone else who has experience in charge.
I have been looking for one of these plants for a long time. They are about 2cm in lenght, but are blooming size.
Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks!

Can you tell us more about its preferred growing conditions? I don't think I will join in on this one, but I thought that info might be useful for others! Thanks!

I have never grown any, but I know some people on this forum have.
I think that the order is restricted to Canadian growners only, because we would have to put together documents for the united states aswell. It could be done though.

hmm.... I think I will buy one. I can imagine growing one very close to the fluroscent lighting, giving it the light requirements. And they are a very nice minature that is fragrant. Everyone has room or it
However I cannot promise this deal. I am only interested if there are enough people are in to make it cheap...I hope more people chime in

Yeah, me too. She said she will significantly reduce the price if we buy a lot. She has over 20 plants available.
I would buy more than one, but I am afraid of the documents that I will need to get. I do not want to put money into something that I might not get.
This order was just a suggestion. I was wondering if people wanted this plant so bad that they would import it. If there is not enough interest, I will just buy this plant elsewhere.

We a phyto and then a CFIA import permit too, since it is Appendix II orchid
Importing Orchids into Canada
....see if Neofinetia falcata (fuukiran) varieties are available too if we are importing. I'd like a pink flowered one, variegated one, and a bean leaf one

Thought I would input a bit...
Hello all!
I have one of these little darlings...my Schoen. flowered with 2 spikes, lots of little flowers (as you can see).
I bought mine from a vndor at the Orchid Society that I attend here in London, ON.
He had quite a few, so would'nt be surprised if this vendor sells more...AND...no paperwork involved!
Unfortunately I don't know his name, but could find out if you are interested?

I am very interested. If you find out his name, that would be great.
The only reason why I would import them, is that they do not sell them in Canada.
Thanks!
