Default Hi guys. I'm letting go.......

I have a bunch of plants I need to let go of. Some could really use some moisture / a greenhouse....
Almost all of my orchids have names.....

Sievekingia sauvis - bloomed a long spike of beautiful yellow strongly scented blooms for me

V. (Meg Laughlin X Agatha Motes) 'Maui Spots'

Bllra. (Tahoma Glacier X William Kirch) 'Maui Glow'

Eria carinata

Phal. Formosa Dream 'Sweetheart' (parishii X amabilis) - mini mini mini!

Zga. Seaford (Z. Syd Monkhouse X Zga. Adelaide Meadows)

Phal Baldans Kaliedescope - no tag but it's obvious. And I think it had one :c)

Vasco Viboon Velvet Perfection - please save this poor thing for me - it NEEDS humidity!!

Asctm. ampullaceum 'Mr. Del-Rei'

Den. laevifolium - mini mini mini species

a NOID slipper orchid that will bloom dark, but other than that, no clue

Phrag. Sedenii - a HUGE one. It has like 20 growths I'm sure. When I bought it, it had more! And it had 3 or 4 slipper blooms. So pretty, but it's not doing well with my care....

I bet I have more too that I'd let go of.

I'd like to send ALL of them together!! I just won't send one out at a time. I need some money for the plant and some for shipping. I look at them all and know how much I spent and I feel so awful that I'm not doing right by them. They are all healthy. Some could use some good root care!!

I've never packed orchids, but I think I'd wrap bare root (most of them except the minis) in newspaper and bubble wrap and place in a box....

Hey Tik! I've been thinking of you! How are you and the family doing? We've missed you
Sorry to see you are letting your collection go but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right?
I'm sure they'll go to good homes, although it may be hard to get them all to go to one place
Good luck, my friend

If you can't sell your collection as a whole ..
I am interested in the
Bllra. (Tahoma Glacier X William Kirch) 'Maui Glow'
and
Eria carinata
How large are the plants?
How tall? What size pots?
Are they spiking or blooming?
What is their general health?
Where are you located? (I am on Long Island, NY)

Thanks

Dorothy

Hello
The Bllra. is maybe 5 growths in I think it's a 4 or 5" ceramic pot. (I'd be taking it out) It has at least one new growth. I've had it for a year and it hasn't done more than grow one growth for me, but that's because I've not been picky about growth conditions.

The Eria has 5 growths. I got it in the fall of last year with 2 not mature growths. It spiked prematurely and flowered but the spikes didn't come out of the growths.

I can't speak to the root health because I haven't looked down inside the medium. And the Eria came with funny roots. It seems totally healthy but the roots were very straight and brown - showing no change with water. The leaves are a nice green and show no signs of ill health tho... It's in a 5" (I think) aircone pot.

I'm in NH.

BTW Hi Sue!
I'm not letting go of ALL of them. I'd consider trades in fact, but very very few!! The only thing I can think of that I want is a Vanilla vine :c)

OH! I'd add my mounted minis as well - I have dyakia hendersoniana
the schoerens whatever (I lost my tags)
the cute smells like a lemon one that Tindo grows so well
project plant George..... They are all suffering under my care....

Hey Marco!!!! I do miss you guys. I've been looking for you to be in chat all day today :c) Maybe I'll stop in tonight if you still all go. I know it must be boring without my drama...
Anyway, I still have 2 shelves stuffed with plants that I'm keeping.... I just don't give my favs the care they need because taking care of ALL of my orchids takes too much time and I'm SO busy....

Maybe I'll see you guys tonight.

If you are in the states...I'm thinking you can't send anything to Canada, without having chances of confiscated packages
