Here's My Trade List for April 2007

I will try to find a way to post photos of the plants themselves... take a peak through these and see if you want to trade. First come, first serve... so make up your mind fast or they might not be available in a week.

Species

Phalaenopsis
1. Pulchra ‘Vaughn’; 4 leaves, 2 flower spikes, 1 keiki, healthy green roots. lost top leaf down to the crown during the winter, so the crown is dry/brown. (full size plant)
2. Hieroglyphica x self ; 4 leaves, 2 flower spikes, healthy green roots. lost top leaf down to the crown during the winter, so the crown is dry/brown. (full size plant)
3. Schillerianna x self; 4 leaves, 1 finished flower spike (bloomed July and December); healthy green roots. lost top leaf down to the crown during the winter, so the crown is dry/brown. (full size plant)
4. Manii (var. concolor x ‘coos bay’) 6 leaves; no spikes; mounted on tree fern; good green roots; no problems to plant. (small plant)
5. Bellina ‘MPO’; 1 leaf, 1 spike with newly developing bud; fair to poor roots; lost top leaf down to the crown during the winter, so the crown is dry/brown. (small plant)
Paphiopedilum
1. spicerianum ‘Candor’; 5 fans healthy; poor roots. (small plant)
2. delenatii: 1 fan with 2 baby fans at base; fair roots (small plant)
3. moquerrianum x rothschildianum; 1 fan; fair roots (small plant)

Mixed Species
1. Doritis pulchra (peloric form); 3 leaves; fair green roots; no spike (small plant)
2. Laelia purpurata (seedling) ; 1 bulb; fair roots (very small plant)
3. Pleurothallis restripioides; 13 leaf stems; good roots; no spikes; doubled in size in 6 months. (full size plant)
4. Bulbophyllum makoyanum; 2 bulbs; fair roots; no spikes (full size plant)
5. Sarchochilus (fitzgeraldii x hartmanii); 6 leaves; good green roots; no spikes yet (small plant)
6. Dendrobium species (unkown); 10 small stems (4-6”) which lay prostrate across the top of the pot. Several keikis with roots. Haven’t seen in bloom yet. (small, possibly full-size plant)

Mixed Hybrids
1. BLC Mem. John Odoms ‘Carmela’ (AM/AOS); 4 seedling bulbs, each one larger than the next with newest one about ½ grown. Good roots. (small plant)
2. Epicatt Little Plum; 4 full size, in leaf bulbs; newest bulb with flower sheath (no developing flower inside sheath yet seen). Green eye at base of newest bulb. Good white roots (full size plant)
3. Phalaenopsis Alta Goodman: (equistris x violacea= equilacea is the closest description of the flowers I could find online.) Absolutely charming and I could see this one being used extensively for breeding due to its charming flowers, vigorous growth and producing equally both flowers and keikis. 5 leaves; 2 keikis (1 with roots, the other none yet); fair to good green roots; lost top leaf down to the crown during the winter, so the crown is dry/brown.(full size plant)
4. Tolumnia (Memoria Ralph Yagi ‘Red Delight’) 1 fan with 4” spike; fair amount of white roots (small plant)
5. Phal. (firewater x spica) x Cathy Owens: 4 leaves; good green roots (small plant)
6. Oncidium mix: unknown ; 2 bulbs; (small plant)

I'm interested in trading for the

Encyclia alata (1) - doesn't look very good, but they're healthy and large

Mtdm. Pupukea Sunset (1)
Epi Yoko Yokohama (1) in bloom with pink flowers

These are all healthy divisions of the plants I've grown in an unheated solaium in Central California so they're all intermediate to cool growers. I ship them bare root, but since priority mail is so fast they're fine. I've just traded with 2 people within the last month and it was a great way to get something new for the collection.

The BLC and the sarchochilus have already been traded. The Laelia is still available. It is a seedling, so to trade of of your full size plants for my seedling might seem an unmatched trade, but you will have what you want. It is doing well. I have it in a 2" clear deep pot and there are healthy white roots with green tips in the media.
I would love the Laelia gouldiana. Sounds like a neat plant.
Tell me if you would like something else of mine to be included in the trade. The Epicatt Little Plum has 2 new growths starting off of the latest growth. It's flowers, which I have a paper copy of but I cannot find online, are bi-colored purple, encyclia shaped but larger, and have 6-12/stem.
(If memory serves me, I believe Encyclia cordigera is the base parent. I've included a google.com photo of this species so that you can see it) The color of the little plum is a concord grape purple.
