For trade to only those people who....
either have a greenhouse, or live in zone 10-11:
Strongolydon macrobotrys, also known as Green Jade Vine, Emerald Creeper, Phillipine Creeper. A unique plant, with a unique turquoise color bloom.
I grow this remarkable tropical liana in my greenhouse and from time to time I am able to propagate rather large pieces of it.
I am interested in trading the large rooted cutting I currently have for orchids.
This is a highly sought after vine. One gallon plants here in FL sell for between $50-100, and these are small compared to the pieces I root, usually air layered from thin distal pieces of vine. My vines have been in situ long enough in the greenhouse that they are achieving true liana status (ie, Tarzan could swing on some of them). Currently I am using some of them to hang orchids and other plants from.
My vines are about to bloom, I have over 50 racemes of flowers and will be able to post photos within a day or so to anyone expressing an interest.
Due to the current restrictive federal and state agricultural laws, it is impossible for me to mail this plant to the following states:
CA, TX, LA, HI, AZ.
If you are interested LMK. This would be a real find for anyone maintaining a tropical greenhouse for their orchids who is also into growing other rare plants.
