The PC fans are a great choice. As a vivarium builder I am always pleased to see others expanding their collections in this mannor, great choice. I love the size of the tank as well.

Default questions

I really like the epi-web...how did you attach it to the back of the tank? Can you also tell me more about te watering system..is there an aquarium pump?

I'm very impressed and will take many ideas away from this!

Default An update

Well time fly. It's running up to a year since I did my creation, and I thought it might be time for an update.

The number of orchids is around 40 now. Some in pots and most of them mounted on either bark or in the epi-web. There been a few that flowered, Pelatantheria insectifera, Sigmatostalix radicans and Medicolor Decoratum Fredensborg. Not counting them that was in bloom when I put them in there. For the rest I am waiting for them to bloom.

The setup is working sofar. Just a bit hard to know what kind of orchids like the environment and what don't. We know for sure that our Phal. spices likes it. At least they grow with good speed. I experimented with a Phal. hybrid, 3 keikis from mums plant, 2 of them is in the foreground in a clay pot. They get all there water from underneith, the pot is stuck into the bottom. The 3'rd one was only laying in the moss for 6 months, it didn't die but it didn't like it either. So now that is mounted on bark instead.

Right now this is whats in there with some moss, spiders (Small native ones) and some other grren plants.

Leptotes Bicolor x2
Bulbophyllum carunculatum
Gongora armeniaca
Sigmatostalix radicans
Kefersteinia tolimensis
Godiera ssp
Medicolor Decoratum Fredensborg

Bulb.echinolabium
Bulbophyllum lasiochilum
Dendrobium pachyphyllum
Dendrochillum Saccolabium
Dendrochillum tenellum
Epiphronites veitchii
Phalaenopsis hybrid keiki x3
Maxillaria tenuifolia x 2
Phal. Lovely kid
Brassada
Phal. appendiculata
Phal. parishii
Oerstedella centradenia
Dendrobium pachyphyllum
Pelatantheria insectifera
Galndra bauerii
L. purpurata
C. intermedia Typ Orlata
Phragmipedium Sedenii
Aerangis biloba
Phal. wilsonii
Kingidium minus
Aerangis distincta
Phal. lindenii
Bulbuphyllum lobbi
Trichoglottis
Brassavola nodosa

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Photos are missing...for this reason I always ask to host photos in the gallery so we can avoid missing photos in the posts and articles.
