I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

I just wish I could see the article to do the proper edits. Had to have Marty submit it for me but I can't get to it

Approx 4" total leaf span (a true mini).

Hi Ross.
The correct name of this Genus is Gastrochilus.

Try Andy's Orchids http://www.andysorchids.com/AlphaList.asp?Alpha='G'&Page=1

You may to call them and see if there are any left. Stuff in limited supply is not on this listing.

Nice overview of the species. Do you think other Gastrochillus species have simialr requirements? Or is this a monotypic genus?

Not monotypic. There are lots of species. I have two: somai and calceolaris. Not prepared to compare the two yet as calceolaris has not bloomed for me. It appears to be extremely slow growing compared to somai. I have them next to each other in the tank so they are getting same conditions and culture.
