A little bit expensive at $40, but glad I got it. It goes a little deeper and in more detail than some others.

Default Best Beginner book buy....

Great for someone who isn't quite an expert.

If you're a beginer, you'll love the first half of the book on the overall needs of orchids. Its a standard thing all orchid books do (water, humidity, venting, pests, medium, etc..), but it is done well.

As for the individul genus/species culture sheets, they are excellent and varied. Sure, not every type of orchid is covered, but there is usually something form the ame family that you can reference as a guide.

As the original poster wrote, it is a great book to get out of the standard 5-6 that are usually listed.

2 years later, it still serves me well.
