This method is based on Lottes and Thomas asymbiotic germination technique and the homeflasking method I found on the net. I will post an article about sowing seeds from a green pod in a few weeks ! Hope you like it ! This media is used for REPLATING flasking !

does the method mention to leave the lids off the jars. i think you are probably getting contamination because the underside of the lids is not covered when you remove it from the oven.

Thank you for your comment !
But because I used the same technique with UNvented jars and had no contamination, I`m wondering about those sterile wound dressing.... I covered only one side of the lid, maybe I should cover both side?

BTW, after I saw the contamination, I removed the protocorn, sterilized them in a H2O2 solution and then placed them in an unvented flask ! It`s been 4 days now and no sign of contamination.... ( finger crossed )
I don`t know if the protocorn will survive the H2O2 treatment.... will see !

Phalguy,
You can buy a propper sticky spot specifically for venting flasks. They are around 0.65c last time I saw them but they can be used over again once they are attached to the lid of your choice. Might help if the contamination is coming from the wound dressing. If you are interested I will try and find the link to the company I saw selling them.

Hi Falguy,
I started flasking orchid seeds a year ago. Got enough seedlings to give friends and relatives. I grow few Phal, Den and Onci. Phals are good but Den and Onci are not quite. Hope to share and learn information for yours. Cheers.
