How everything works here...for instance i can't find out how to get a gallery...
Trying to work on this blog and wondering
1- if I could be able to sustain it regulary
2- also because english is far from being my native language
Writing a blog and hoping no one will read my stupidities...so typical of me...

Hello, Louise!

To answer your first question - getting to the gallery and posting pictures: If you will go to the Forum and click onto the FIRST forum listed - About this board, there are a couple of posts there describing how to get to the gallery and how to post pictures. If you read it and it is not clear to you, please let us know so that we can help you.

I'm pretty new here too, and it took me a minute to figure everything out. . . takes a little bit of time, but you'll do it, and pretty soon you'll be zipping around this forum like an old pro!

Your blog: I for one hope that you will post consistently! I'll read it, definitely. I know several people read mine - sometimes they reply to it, sometimes they don't. . .and most of the time it takes a few days to receive replies because most people are out working or tending orchids or living life. . .I write in my blog because I like to write, and blogging this adventure for me is important to me. I hope you will do the same!

Please don't feel self-conscious about your language skills! I don't mind one bit, and as you blog your language skills will continue to improve. I read for the heart and the experience, both of which you did just fine with in this blog entry. I have several friends that are getting better with their language by blogging. If they don't know how to get a sentence across correctly, they simply ask. I don't mind your asking me. Not at all. If you don't understand something I write to you, please don't hesitate to ask, I'll clarify it as many times as necessary until you understand.

I don't have much experience with orchids, but I know there are many here who do! I'm anxious to see your collection and learn from you, as well.

Salut Louise! Pour les photos, ce n'est pas si difficile que ça! I remembered seeing a thread explaining how to use the gallery, and I finally managed to dig it up.

I just happen to understand I have to subscribe to my entries otherwise I don't received an email notice
so now you can understand why I didn't reply sooner to your kind words : I thought i'll automatically receive an email notice if someone happened to write here.
Same with the groups threads , it took me some time to understand that i had to subscribe to the thread
Sometimes i feel stupid! and slow....
Anyway i'll keep on writing this blog and will try later this day to see this gallery thing
Still I have managed to put two albums with pictures of my orchids in my profile page in case you want to have a look

In your user settings you can set it so that you are automatically suscribed to any threads you post in. It's much quicker and hassle free than doing it one by one!

I did it from the begining Camille. But the bloody thing does only work for threads in the forums...never for a thread in a group or with my blog

It doesn't work with the groups. There's a glitch in it, and Marty can't fix it since the problem comes from the program that supports the forum. It won't be fixed until Vbulletin does something about it. I don't know if it's supposed to work for the blogs though.
