Matt, I use Tapatalk, too. It seems to have something to do with the app and the size of the message.
If the word count is relatively small, "edit" is not an option, so I have to use "web view" and edit via the browser. If it's an extensive post (which I
rarely do - Hah!), Tapatalk offers the "edit" option.
