I water until it runs through well. If they seem exceptionally dry (I've been neglectful) I will then water again until it runs through.

Dolly I hear several orchid collectors not recycle to water with other orchids but my thought is if your growing orchids in your house chances of catching diseases is less unless you bring in a new plant and not certain the new plant is disease free.

I did a community soak until I joined the OB. Now, I take more precautions. The OB will do that to you...

I suggest this or a similar setup.

Solo 11 Litre Pump Sprayer Mobile On Wheels

Just Google it. You will find it no problem.

Unfortunately, the worst weakness is in my arms. I had a similar pump sprayer, but shortly thereafter I replaced it with a battery operated 1 as it was just too difficult for me to pump. I love the battery 1, it's just rather small (1.3 gallons) anything larger would be too heavy for me. The ideal solution for me would be a battery sprayer on wheels. They are pretty pricey though, (I tend to think in terms of how many orchids I could buy with the money I spent on such and such They really should make supplies for disabled orchidists. Is that a word???
