Bulbophyllum polliculosum

I just got a Bulbophyllum polliculosum today and I'm having a hell of a time finding information about growing it. Does anyone here have experience with it? I was told to grow similar to a Porpax ustulata, but was hoping I could find more species specific growing information. I may just research the weather from the area it grows and go from there. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I have a Bulbophyllum ayuthayense, which has a similar growth pattern to polliculosum. When is it supposed to go out of domrancy? Mine hasn't but it seems like it's rain season in Thailand.

What are the max temps for bulbophyllum polliculosum?

It is very interesting to meet people with some orchids. I have a suspicion that I have bought Bulbophyllums, polliculosum and ayuthayense, because I received 3 groups of pseudobulbs, but they are having little bit differents.

I spoke to Manote at length about growing Bulbophyllum polliculosum.

In summer it needs conditions like most other Bulbos: warm, always moist to wet, bright shade, no direct sun.

But, in winter, it requires to be dry and cold (his words.) He said it should be in the 5C-10C / 40-50 F range at night during the winter, or it will not survive. It drops all its leaves each winter.

He said as fall approaches and nights cool, begin to water less, down to perhaps once a week. Leaves will begin to yellow and drop. From this point it needs the cold weather. He said to mist only every now and then, to keep the pseudobulbs from shriveling too much.

In spring, as it warms up, the plant will begin growing. Do not resume watering until the plant is making new growth. Then give normal summer care.

In North Thailand temperature in summer is about +35C.
I noticed that this plant grows well when it's really hot 25 degrees and more

Thanks for the info on bulbophyllum polliculosum, it seems unfortunately I cannot have it as the temps at night in the winter only drop to about 18C at minimum.

My main question, though, is when should b. ayuthayense wake up from dormancy? I am worried about mine because it's not doing anything...

Can you show photo of your b. ayuthayense?
I think you must be a patient and easy sprinkle him some time per week, 3 times for example.
