Question Bulbophyllum polliculosum

I just got a Bulbophyllum polliculosum today and I'm having a hell of a time finding information about growing it. Does anyone here have experience with it? I was told to grow similar to a Porpax ustulata, but was hoping I could find more species specific growing information. I may just research the weather from the area it grows and go from there. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Looking up local data is best. Find herbarium specimens with precise locality data. Then look up the weather. Then try and figure out what kind of microhabitat it grew in, and extrapolate from there.

Many people think a lot of orchids need long dry winters... but in habitat they get regular and heavy dew, or splash from waterfalls....

Can't offer much here, but had to look it up and wow that is so my sort of thing... so beautiful. Appears to be pretty rare in cultivation... could you say where you got it?

As for as culture given insight from others I've discussed porpax with, as you'd have to assume it and porpax care would be similar as they are from the same or similar regions, would be to the trickiness of figuring out their dormancy and how to keep the water minimal enough but not to keep it outright dry. I would offer that along the lines of Estacion, species I've grown from those regions really don't like a dry dormancy. In fact, it's really not that dry so now I keep things watered through winter, and just water even more in spring summer.
