Everyone in my household has to dry themselves with a towel and stand on a bathmat after showering - all designed to increase humidity however littly. No drip dry in the bath. On that wet note, happy happy for the next few days.

Up here in the northeast my orchids seem to do ok with lower humidity, but since I have added a humidifier to their room they have seemed to perk up a bit.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I am happy that I got so many opinions.

I made This post to help new growers avoid the stress I went through about humidity. Hopefully this will help people to take the plunge and try out some plants wherever they are.
