Default Coelogyne usitana - One and done

I recently acquired a Coelogyne usitana with one spike just emerging and another spike that was on flower #7. I lost the existing spike, most likely due to the stress with the change in environment.

The spike that was emerging just opened its first flower, but I was very sad to see that it does not look like I will get any other flowers from that spike. The next bud is only 1/4 inch and is starting to yellow. The flower opened beautifully, so I'm not sure what I did wrong. All the photos I can find online show the next bud with much more development, so I'm pretty sure something is wrong.

The orchid is growing 5 new growths, so I probably won't have to wait too long for another spike...I'm just so disappointed!

Can anyone tell me what might have happened?

Growing conditions: indoors, SE window, partially shaded, right next to a humidifier

It sounds like the 2nd spike is also being discarded because of environmental change. I wouldn't worry about it yet.

I wanted to give a quick update.

The newest growth does have a flower spike emerging and I can already tell it is far more robust than the one that just gave me one flower. Hopefully it has fully adjusted and I get a nice show.

Thank you for the comments!

It's not open yet, but the spike looks much different!

How much does it cost in USA? Here in EU is being "easy" to find now. Adult plants are 23-30€ (25-32$).
