Default need agar!

Hello!
I'm looking to start some new orchids but I cannot find agar anywhere! Quite frustrated. Is there anything I can use instead of agar? Help!

Try looking for biological supply companies in Canada. They have to supply it.

I ended up finding some in a nutrition store that sells natural medicines. Was only $8. Very much appreciate the reply.

ask for agar-agar at any big Pharmacy, specially those especialized in preparing specific recipes... normally, they should have it, and of very high quality!!!

Go to an Asian market and ask for agar (is used like jell-o or pudding). I used it to make my medium for sowing orchid seeds as well as tissue culture. It works and is cheap. A bag has 20 gram agar is about $1 dollars (enough to make 3 liters of medium or 60 baby food jars or 30 big jars). Cheers.
