Default Automated fogging in the greenhouse

Hello all:
I'm just wondering how many of you that are growing in the gh employ automated fogging/misting as a means of cooling in your greenhouses? The combination of shade cloth (30%) and venting/exhaust fans keeps my gh about 10-15 degrees cooler than the outside temps, but with us being in the triple digits as of late, I've installed automated fogging to help keep the temps a bit lower (hopefully). Currently I have the foggers set on 2 hour intervals, for 3 minutes a go; do any of you have any frequency advice for me? My system is not hard plumbed, it's not an option where my gh is sited, but at 55g reservoir would be an easy switch if need be. Thoughts? Fogging does not occur after 5pm, typically our temps have dropped enough by then that all is "cool" in the gh; and I'd like all my foliage to be dry by nightfall.

Fogging will only have a significant effect on cooling if it is used to cool drier outside air coming into the greenhouse. Doing so in an enclosed house will raise the humidity, and do essentially no cooling.

I have an Aquafog 700 that used to be internal only (which I do in the winter now), but I added a duct to have the fan draw in air from the outside, and it dropped the GH temp about 10 additional degrees. In the winter, I run it on a humidistat, and in the summer on a thermostat.

I am also in tripple digit area. I have automated ultrasonic fogger, but as Ray points out, real cooling is with swamp cooler. Running swamp cooler automatically gets RH in GH to >70%, so the fogger only runs when temp is below 80, but vents are open, and outside air is dry.

But the swamp cooler has the same property that Ray mentioned about foggers - it is effective only if the humid air is being exhausted and drier air is being brought in from the outside.

I use an exhaust fan that, running at its highest speed, can exhaust the volume of the greenhouse in less than 2 minutes.

I have a large exhaust fan as well, but I followed David's recommendation of ducting the fogger to the outside for inlet air, and the big fan hardly comes on at all any more.
