Question Native Pennsylvania Wild Orchids.

This spring I plan on wanting to start walking around on the land I own. So I started reading up in some local plant life in Pa and saw that's some orchids were native. I want to know more on the subject like what to look for and all that.

Then this weekend my uncle told me that he was going to start logging all the non hard wood tree of his property. And from what I could find online is that pa native orchids live bogy like places and my uncle has a place on his property that is bogy.

So all in all I was wondering if it would be right to try and save them if they r there before the loggers and the skidders come and tare the place up??
If so how would I go about trying to extract them without carsing a lot of harm to them??
I have a place on my property that is bogy also so I could might put them there. But I want u alls opinions first.

Under PA law, a landowner or a person with the permission of the landowner can do pretty much anything to a plant on the property as long as it isn't a federally protected species. They may not sell, barter, or export from the Commonwealth plants protected under the state code, but other than that there are no legal issues with your plan. Even if PA endangered plants are on the property it's legal to bulldoze them with permission. My home internet is down and I don't know how to post links on my phone but if you Google" PA endangered plant code" you'll find all the particulars including state listings.
