By the way my name is Shannon. probably should have just used that.

Go to user CP at the top of the page. When you click on it you will get a bunch of links on the Left side. Signature will be one of them. Click that link and type in the box just like posting a message. Click Save and
Viola!

For me, it is a must. I live in the arid deasert and in the winter I get up to maybe 30% without, but the summer it is down to 10% or possibly lower. I moved to growing the Cattelya alliance because I just cannot supply the needed humidity to a large amount of plants. One or two in a fishtank perhaps.

After reading all of the posts I think I'll just wait it out this year and see what happens. It shouldn't be too much longer before I can set them all outside.

End of this year I'll invest in one of the greenhouses Polarizeme mentioned. I just don't really have a use for a humidifier for 10 months of the year so it probably wouldn't be a useful purchase.

Thanks for all your help!

Handy tech tip: Watch craigslist. I see these in ads all the time.

Well you see it simply will not work for me. I have tried it 3 times. Seems simple enough but it won't work.

There we go I just had to type a new message before it would show up, thanks.

I simply would not be able to grow Pleurothallids without them. But with them, they thrive in the cold winter weather here.

We'll see what happens in the summer. :/
