My Den. bellatulum in trouble Male
Default My Den. bellatulum in trouble

Friends, I’m in trouble. I bought 2 nos. of Den. bellatulum bare root plants 2 months ago. One I potted with a mixture of charcoal and small peaces of brick and another mounted in a tree fern block with some moss. Both are in open area but under the shade of large tree. Here day time temp is now 33 C.
10 days ago both of them took bath in 32 hours continuous rainfall for my negligence.
And now I notice the problem. All the leaf became pale and fall one by one from the old pseudo-bulbs. Two new pseudo-bulbs were already rotted and after the storm now I can realize the situation of that baby of a careless & technically illiterate parent.
Please anybody share the knowledge of Den. bellatulum culture and guide me what can I do for them now.

Uh...

It's not looking like there's a strong chance of recovery if what you're saying is true about the rotting pseudobulbs.

I'd suggest getting another one and starting over again, this time learn the lesson you learned with this one.

Sorry.

I agree with Philip...but also think you should realize that all of us orchid growers make mistakes from time to time. Stop beating yourself up about this & get another one! BettyE
