Neofinetias and Sedirea japonica. The scents are not overpowering like some genus.

Cheers.

I love the fragrance of cattleyas, except for when I was pregnant and the smell was so strong it made me sick.

My two favorites are: encyclia cordigera, and encyclia ceratistes. My cattleya Irene Holguin "Brown Eyes" also has a wonderful fragrance. I will be posting a picture of its nine blossoms in the next day or two...BettyE

I seem to have hard time keeping that plant from getting yellow leaves/ then drop or turning into a heaven for red spider mites.
so I no longer buy them, but the scent is just to die for!
I haven't had mine too long - about 4 months - so need to wait and see how it goes. So far, so good at least!

My Sharry Baby also can give me a headache - I do like the fragrance tho - it isn't that it's sickly sweet (mine at least), just really strong when there are so many blooms (has had over 200 open at once), and they haven't been open long yet. But, mines outside, so isn't a big problem for me most of the time.

Once I open the window, I'm fine with Sharry Baby. sickly sounds rather harsh.

I love the scent regardless.

You must mean oriental lilies as asiatic lilies do not have scent.

I am not a phal grower, but I remember having Sogo Grape and it had a terrific, candy berry-grape like fragrance. It bloomed easily on a glossy, small leaved plant. Too bad I don't live near Hausermann's anymore. They always perked up the living room.

You should try growing it again.

Dave you are in Florida....you can grow brachiata outdoors with no trouble at all; you have humidity in your atmosphere
( it doest like winter cold or frost=you need to put it indoors if it gets below 50F)
