Great roots!

But sorry to say I'm even more intreiged by that medium, especially as the place I buy epiweb from sells it. Looks like the people that make epiweb make it in fact (Dusktropic). Hmm... looks really cool in that closeup shot of your roots. I really might have to give it a try!

The site selling it in the UK has a picture of it cut into strips and used in a pot. EpiWeb - A Better Xaxim!

Looking again at the site that sells it in the UK they sell some of it with a polyethene core to give rigid half tubes for mounting.

Really interesting stuff!

This looks amazing! I hope it works out for you Magnus and that it won't be long before there's an Internet distributor that will sell to the USA. I did manage to spot a posting on another board where someone said it's essentially the same as "Ecoweb", sold by FirstRays.

Epiweb made by the same people is the same as Ecoweb sold by Ray, but this is something new they have developed.

Ah, I had no idea--thanks. Well that's a good sign then, that once enough testing has been done they already have channels to sell it in the USA.

As you already got the answer I only add that the person behind Epiweb developed and introduced the material to the market. And it was sold under the name Epiweb on the US market for some time! Ecoweb has to my knowledge no connection to the person behind Epiweb....
It is the person behind Epiweb that drives the developement and now he have developed Hygrolon as a complement to Epiweb...
