Light falls off fast as you get further from the apparent light source (I say apparent because ultimately the sun is the true source). Light will fall off at 1/2 the intensity (or something like that) for each unit of distance one moves the plant.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
