I'm curious about your temps. I know you have said you grow S/H. Do you keep them dryer in the winter or does it matter?

Hi Maureen,

Since I grow in S/H I do not dare let them get any drier in winter as I do in summer. I like my Phals with roots. If you let them go dry. The new root growth will get accustomed to that and when they get flooded they die. The species that I am growing the coldest are aphordite, equestris, philippinensis, and schilleriana. I do have a Phal Mini Mark in the same area and it does keep blasting spikes so that one will have to go to a warmer spot.

About my winter temps in that window I am looking at highs in the 40s and 50s and lows around 34 to 40. The spikes do grow slower than they would if they were warmer but that northern window has great light for them.
