Default Brassavola media

I have a recently deflasked group of Brassavola cucullata 'Bashor' x 'Ilgenfritz' coming this week. I have several options for media but I would like to know what you all think I should put them in.

Thanks

Hi Steven,

I personally like sphagnum for a first medium, on just about any genera.

Can't help with first potting, however I have B. nodosa and several others mounted on strips of cedar shingle and they seem to flourish. I prefer mounted orchids whenever I can do them.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Yes, sphagnum is one of the best options.
