Default Buds falling off my dendrobium

I got my dendrobium about a month ago. It has two spikes and the first one opened without any problems, the second started opening and then yesterday I found a semi opened bud on the floor and this morning a second one. I placed it in my bathroom, cause I thought that the humidy from the frequent showers would be good for it and because I needed to isolate it. It's under two energy efficient light, which are about two feet away from it. I give it about a good 6 to 10 hours of light a day. Probably the only thing it doesn't get is good ventilation. I water it once a week since it gets great humidity. (I think)
Can strong cleaning product smeels affect the flowering of my plant? Or should I just bring it upstair with the other ones now that I know that it's pest free so that it can get a southern exposure and have real light and the photoperiod that it needs?

Hi ,
I would move it to better light and air movement as long as it is pestless . Really strong fumes might affect the tender buds . Changing from green house conditions to home will also cause miserable bug blast . Hope this helps . Gin

I have to agree Gin the duration of lighting needs to be extended to up to 16 hours. Air circulation is very important for any chid and they will let you know with a bud blast, limpy looking leaves or just mere pouting. As Gin said, pest free let it join the others. One blooming cycle of blast beats the whole orchid sent to orchid heaven.
