What is the height, and mouth of the pot. It is very pretty but my thoughts...putting an onicidium type looking plant with dancing foliage (spider-like). The appearance would be taller, not short and stocky. Lets hear other thoughts, have been thinking on getting a clay pot but with a larger belly and put some type of orchid in it

Pretty pots there. Those would be used for asian cymbidiums (the small ones). I have used them for phrags before too and I guess paphs can go in too. I usually slip plastic pots in them for temporary display of blooming plants

Anything that has deep roots (cymbidium, phrags) but the plastic insert is a good idea. Clay will allow salt build up quickly, so you have to leach it more often.
I have a pendulous type cym that would look good in it. I also agree that an oncidium with the graceful, arching spikes would be a good choice. Wouldn't a phrag look like it's on top of a mountain instead of the forest floor
If you grow oncidiums that would be a good bet. I agree the leaves should cascade over the side. I have a tall pot and it was sold as a cymbidium pot. Brenda
