Default Podangis Envy

This is an advanced thread for podangis owners. We must stop blowing up other folks threads and move forward. Show me your podangis! Or talk about your podangis. Or anticipated pondangis!

Good Golly Miss Molly!!! Podangis owners... this thread is for YOU! ..

PS I would have spelled out the last part of the name, but can’t remember.

Podangis dactyloceras! Been doing my research in preparation for mine to show up. Low light, warm temps and let dry between watering.

And you can see that farley is so pumped up about this, he manages to make the first comment on the Podangis thread.

Meanwhile, a little history about Podangis Envy. It all started here Cyrtorchis? Are they good for the collection? on Page 1, where Brassalova's thread got hijacked by renegades, and for the most part continued on for six pages before being returned.

Podangis Envy even crept over to another thread of Clawhammer's, where at Page 2 an unknown instigator highjacked yet another thread. Overnight Temp for CAM Orchids

Our fearless administrator Camille quickly jumped in to attempt salvaging Clawhammer's thread, but alas... too late. Clawhammer was bitten by the wily Podangis bug, and the administrator then confessed she had been bitten herself a ways back, and now was seeking more, more, more.

Podangis Envy is swift, and has no mercy. Continue on this thread now at your own risk.

Well, hmmmmm. I've been doing a bit of research. It appears our administrator Camille attempted to envoke Pondangis Envy in the latter part of 2019. I direct your attention here Cute little mini - Podangis dactyloceras

Coincidence? I think not. Evidently, turning moderator Roberta loose recently as marketing director was key to getting the Pondangis Envy started.

I think I recall one of the notches on my potting bench (1 notch = 1 dead orchid) was in memory of a dactyloceras but it was far enough back in time I'm going to try again. Maybe.
I just tried to include one in an order I'm doing from the west coast and the seller informed me there has been a bizarre run on them and he thinks he might be out.
Did the Orchid Board cause this resource shortage?

First toilet paper now this?

Ahem.... would someone else be able to answer this question?

---------- Post added at 09:06 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:54 AM ----------

Okay, FINE! Perhaps. But it isn't hoarding if you have only one plus a spare in the same household. See how I covered ya there, Roberta and Camille?

Exactly right, I'm buying a second one as insurance, not hoarding! Everybody knows having good insurance is important.

I also wanted insurance... and also to get one from a different source, to see if it might grow better. With more than one, possible to experiment with slightly different conditions - like media. Not hoarding...learning.
