Okay here we go!

I really like using this forum because I get to share my love of orchids with everyone on this website, but one thing I cannot get a grip with on this site is how to difficult it is to post a single picture.

Some of the things I find difficult, (frustrating), are:

How do you post pictures within the text itself?
I’ve seen numerous threads where members are able to post their pictures, (ones that are full-sized and clear), directly into the text and it bums me out since I would like to be able to do that as well.
All the pictures seem to shrink.

How do you post pictures without them rotating to the left or right?
Everytime I add an attachment it seems that the pictures always rotate for some unknown reason and I can’t seem to find a solution to that problem.

Why does the quality of the pictures always turn out so bad?
Everytime I post a picture or add an attachment, (that I think is nice, clear and of good quality), the resolution always seems to be reduced and I would love to share my orchid pictures with everyone without that happening.

If anyone, literally anyone, has any suggestions or possible answers to my problems it would be amazing if you could help me out!

I’m probably, (most likely), doing something very wrong.

Thanks!

Ok! I don't think your doing something VERY wrong because I too have some of these issues and I don't think IM doing anything VERY wrong! I too have the rotating problem and I've tried going out and rotating my photo in the opposite direction and then uploading and it doesn't make a difference! I also have definitely noticed the clarity issue too!

Now the inserting a photo into the text....DIDNT EVEN KNOW PEOPLE HAD DONE THAT! BUT Maybe by copying the photo and pasting???? It won't let me do it on my phone but I wonder if it would work on a computer??!

This question comes up all the time and fortunately there are some good answers already out there!

Here's one explanation that seems to be pretty detailed.

Hooray!
Thanks for all the help everyone!!!
I’ll try to go through and understand how it all works and see if any of the methods work for me!
I’ll let you know if it worked or not!

P.S. I can’t see what you posted emmajs243 because the picture is too small.

This won't be a technical answer and it works for me because I'm using my phone.

I take the pictures landscape and then they post that way. The OB wants to post landscape for reasons I do not even care to know. Also uploading one picture at a time helps the process.

ES says you can rotate and save and then rotate back and post, I have not tried that. When I started posting, years ago, I also had trouble. This works for me... But, I am not a picture person.
