Thanks all for reporting it. Without your help us mods would take 4 times as much time to find them and get rid of them. These things seem to come in waves with relatively spam free periods in between. Hopefully one day it will all just go away.

The spam is really out fo control yesterday/today! Seems like every single Cattleya post has some spam in it.
Like Mutant, I also wonder why it's always the Catt section that gets the spam...

I agree and hope that you guys can. It's annoying since those are the first things visitors see when they come here (unless they've searched for something orchid related and stumbled across a thread).  |

I just had a look at those spam articles, and I can't remove them. The users have already been deleted, but for some reason those posts/articles stayed. Maybe a more experienced mod can figure it out, otherwise it's something only an admin can do...

Okay, good. I really don't like these buggers. I've gotten the go ahead from Tindomul to give all suspicious members an infraction which I'll do whenever I'm bored. I'll work my way through the members list and temporary ban anyone that looks suspicious (that is, has links to online sites on their user's page, or adds for Viagra etc.) I'll try not doing it too much since you mods might get swamped with reports! |
