That one often occurs if the pictures are too big. It's not the most meaningful message and can occur for other reasons but that's the most common.

I keep seeing "image may be too big". How big is too big?

If, while writing a message, you scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, another window opens for uploading images. You might have to click on Go Advanced to see Manage Attachments. Maximize this window and you will see more information on size limits.

There are Web sites for resizing big images. I don't have a bookmark with me on my phone, but if you read this thread you'll find them.

There are a lot of forbidden words I'd like to use. <g>

I use a free photo editor for regular desktop Microsoft Windows computer called Paint.Net (Paint dot Net) - that's what it's called. I use it to resize my images (downsize them) to around 1024 by 768 pixels. Then I save the reduced size file to some name, such as orchid.jpg

Then I go through the following steps shown in these uploads - remembering (importantly) that the file upload feature does NOT appear in the 'Quick Reply' method of posting messages. The file upload features will be available in all other methods of posting, such as 'Quote', or 'Post Reply', or 'New Thread'.

Default photo orientation tools?

very helpful post. thanks.

Too many of my photos show up sideways (landscape orientation when they should be portrait). Any logical step I am missing. I am beginning to feel like it is just luck now if it orients correctly. Thanks!
