I am using Safari. So far

Shift + Click

Opens photos for me.

Thank you Sun, we always manage to open the pics, with shift or ctrl, but it was easier and nicer with the lightbox effect...

Hm... Make sure you have java installed too. There's a lot of AJAX and Java on the site now.
