Zero-tolerance on abuse here

We got hit with a multitude of wasted posts by a now permanently banned former member.

We at Orchidboard pride ourselves on the "FACT" that OB is unlike any other forum...we DO NOT abuse fellow members and DO NOT fill our forums with nonsense.

The "fact" of the matter is that we will immediately ban anybody who involves themselves in such dribble

Maybe I don't read enough posts, but I've never seen any abuse here. Or maybe you guys clean up before I get to it

Usually this group is wonderful and there is none.

But this morning I was greated with lots of reports of messages which were simple abuse and nothing more.

I deleted all the abusive messages straight away and gave a temp ban while I sought the advise of Sue (I'm new at this modding lark) regarding a permenant ban.

Thanks Sue for making the permenant ban and thanks to those people who reported these messages. We really do have a great group, and it's soooo good that this sort of thing is so rare here.

it was someone that had romantic expectations I could not fulfill. I had been straightforward but she has been harassing me for over a year. Since I blocked her numerous email addresses she started posting inaccurate comments on social networking sites and forums.
I appreciate the support, and I apologize for her posting.

I have not been in touch for a year and it is hard to believe she is still trying to harass.
I hope she finds peace and leaves me alone.

Well, she won't be bothering anybody here at OB.

Once again, thanks to all of our alert OB members for notifying us of the problem so we could take care of it. It really does help the mods a LOT
