Ok, everybody has been repotted. Yes, those 2 pics are of the same one, Schoenorchis fragrans. Someone point me in the right direction on these so I can learn more please! I really don't have room for more orchids, but hey, these are soooo tiny, they'd be perfect.
Here's my report on the condition of everybody:
All the phals were GREAT! As you'll see in the pic below, some I even had to overpot, because their roots were super abundant and they weren't happy when I was trying to put them into something smaller. There was very little dead/rotted stuff to cut off and the mix was in great condition. They may have just been repotted recently. Hands down these roots are far better than anything I've purchased from Hausermann's.
The catts, well I'd put those at about the same quality as Hausermann's. Maybe half of the roots were good and the potting media was decomposed down to being like soil.
Concluding this little essay of mine, I'll say that Oak Hill Gardens is a smaller establishment that can probably provide more individual care for the plants than Hausermann's. So, if I'm just looking for some healthy phals, I'd probably head there. Roots and leaves look better than most stuff I've gotten from Hausermann's. For more selection though, I'd still head to Hausermann's and try to stick with the seedlings that haven't been in existence long enough to really be neglected and have severe root damage.
