Default Catasetums in the wild (almost)

We went last weekend to a "Farm Hotel" in the Itapira region, S. Paulo state (about 220km from the city). In the remaining native vegetation ('spots' of "campos cerrados", a tipe of savannah), and also in some cultivated trees, I find lots of Catasetums (amongst other epiphytics - ferns and a type of cactus, named Epiphylum). Unfortunately none in bloom, but with lots of seed pods; due the aspect of one spike (with some dots) I guess they are Catasetum cernuum, common in the region. A nice trip with farm food, horses, cows and orchids!
