Also leave room for the spike. They tend to be pendulous, but I have one where the plant is only 3" high, but the spike is 12" high! They would also do well mounted, rather than in pots like mine so perhaps you are right. Try one and see!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
