You did know that the bark only serves as a rooting medium? So you can use anything from old marbles to gravel or charcoal chunks to bark from local trees? There isn't anything mystical about purchased bark chunks?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
