I have had the same problem of an orchid inexplicably going downhill fast, despite having it for over a year. Don't know what was so wrong for it to get deadish in just a few weeks. It's wonderful that yours is going to bloom, that new bulb looks nice and plump!! What sort of blooms does it make?
