yes the phals were in bloom/bud...that is when I see the most new root growth....I did not lose a bloom or bud on these ! The only problem I had was with some Prime Agra that a friend gave me and that she had soaked in bleach .
I must not have rinsed it well enough...the leaves were wilty the next day on the on the phals I used Prime Agra
. Thankfully it was only 3 ! I nearly lost one ..the other 2 are recovering.
After that experience I made the 1 1/2 hour journey to buy Hydroton. I don't know the dfifference but Hydroton works better for me.
Barbara , the orange /yellow phal in the front is Carolina Bronze meteor 'Lenette'.. that one came from Carter & Holmes.
